Installing commercial plumbing fixtures in a residential bathroom

We are planning a new home and in our bathroom I want to install a urinal.

My wife says this is not usually done and we decided to ask you about installing commercial plumbing fixtures in a residential bathroom.

Is this something that is possible?

In a word, yes! A lot of plumbing fixtures originally designed for the commercial market can eventually make their way into our homes.

For instance, touchless toilets and touchless faucets are now becoming very popular items in many residential bathrooms, especially in children's bathrooms to help keep the bathroom a little more sanitary.

A home water fountain can also be a helpful plumbing fixture. This can cut down on washing glasses or using up extra paper cups.

Now to your question on home urinals. A waterless urinal can be a very good choice for home use. Not only do they look trendy and take up little space, they also save water.

Bottom line: Being able to use commercial technology in a private bathroom should become public knowledge.
