Custom cabinets or stock?

I want to add a breakfast bar to my kitchen. The existing cabinetry is fine and I believe they are stock cabinets. Which method would be easier and cost efficient?
a. Reface the cabinets and find matching cabinets for the breakfast bar
b. Replace all the cabinetry with custom or stock cabinetry

Well the kitchen cabinets are meant to store the cooking goodies and all stuff. I think it would be better if you replace the cabinets and find the matching cabinets for the breakfast bar. Cabinets are very essential in kitchen to store all the elements at a place.
