Functional Furniture = Shortcut for Spring Cleaning

As we approach Memorial Day and the traditional beginning of summer, the time is growing short to complete our Spring Cleaning! A lot of people just groaned reading this statement, but think of it this way: you can reduce cleaning time and excess clutter by adding a few functional furniture pieces to your home’s décor. These functionally-beautiful pieces can cut cleaning and organizing time in half so you can spend spring and summer exactly as you should be-outside enjoying the weather!

Storage beds provide great place for linens

Have you ever opened your linen closet and an avalanche of towels and sheets tumbled down? Why not leave the closet to the towels and store your sheets and bed linens elsewhere? The Lindley Park storage bed has a stylish appearance and contains a drawer in the footboard that makes storing blankets and sheets a snap. Linens are always at your fingertips, so you’ll never have to dig through an over-stuffed closet again!
Is your living room always littered with magazines and your kids’ toys? Living rooms are meant to be lived in, so don’t sweat it when your toddler dumps out the blocks for the third time that day. Instead, maximize the furniture already used in a living room by adding a storage cocktail table like this one from Hooker Furniture’s Moccato collection:

Storage cocktail table is living room organizer

Adult guests will only see a handsome and refined cocktail table, but you’ll know the amazing storage properties concealed under its beautifully distressed surface! Add a couple of small storage baskets inside to neatly divide adult items from children’s items. When playtime is over, cleanup will be a breeze!
No space for a home office, but the bills and paperwork need some serious organizing? Consider placing a small, decorative writing desk behind the sofa, or in an inconspicuous corner for quick desk work. The Bennett X-Base writing desk from the Mélange furniture collection packs a lot or organization into one small, stylish piece! Behind the 3 drawers you’ll find 2 writing slides and a drop-front for a keyboard. Once closed, the piece serves as a sophisticated sofa table.

Writing desks are versatile living room pieces

If the do-it-yourself craze is taking over your home and you have crafts everywhere, try consolidating them all within one piece of furniture! The Abbott Place hobby cabinet offers shelving and storage for craft components of all sizes! Behind the warm cherry doors are dowels for hanging rolls of paper or fabric, smaller dowels for small ribbons and bows, and divided storage space for decorative pins, stickers, etc. Show off your latest craft ideas on the dual corkboards, which are located on the backs of the 2 top doors.

We have invested big amount of money in expensive furniture so it is very important to keep that in a good condition. Our furniture requires cleaning process everyday, but if we can't do it regular, then we should clean it during a month.
