This integral part of the “Jet Age” is ready for landing in your executive boardroom.
Getting the team up to speed on the latest projects is much more motivating at the 727 Airplane Conference Table. Built from the horizontal stabilizer of the Boeing 727, it rests on sturdy aluminum, anodized I-beams punched with lightness holes in true aeronautically designed fashion. The MotoArt crew strips the stabilizer of all impurities, then cuts, grinds, sands and polishes it to a high gloss aluminum (as shown). Once ready, the stabilizer, as well as the legs, may be powder coated in your choice of color or simply clear-coated to reflect a fresh-off-the-assembly-line look. 3/8” plexiglass struts are cut to level the 1/2” tempered glass surface and further options are available.
The piece may be cut to lengths from 15’ on down, and any custom adjustments you’d like to add are available. Holes may be cut through the table to manage phone and computer cables, or perhaps you’d like to augment the surface with your own company logo.
The first B-727 took its maiden commercial flight on February 9, 1963 for United Airlines. The triple engine design made the smaller aircraft better suited for smaller landing strips and airline routes with smaller passenger demand. The 727 could also fly overseas and into higher altitude cities than the B-707, making it a huge success immediately. Since the B-727 was made for smaller airports, the plane needed to be serviceable quickly from the ground so an “airstair” was designed opening to the ground allowing access to the cabin. It is believed the famous D. B. Cooper jumped from a 727 from the airstair while in flight. Boeing modified the 727 with a Cooper Vane that prohibited the stair from being lowered in flight, after the D. B. Cooper incident.
Realizing the “green” impact vs. a traditional wooden executive conference table makes this piece of history an eco-friendly addition to any law office, architectural firm, or corporate boardroom.
Over 140 man-hours are spent in the production of this airplane conference table, and when joined with a full compliment of our airplane seats, will create a stunning presence for your company.
