A new collection, a tradeshow stand conceived with confident style, and thoroughly positive feedback – SELVA is able to look back on a successful presence in Milan. “Being a reference point for international furniture industry, the tradeshow in Milan is for us the most important event of the year. Its 50th Anniversary consolidated again its role of global specialized fair and we are proud of being there already for the 43rd time”, said Philipp Selva, President & CEO of the Italian company.
Just upon entering the first room, one already sensed the special atmosphere with which SELVA cast its spell over the visitors on the 400 sq. m. (4,300 sq. ft.) tradeshow stand in Hall 10. The majority of the stand was dedicated to the new Collection Vendôme, which was presented to the European public for the first time in Milan. With this expansion of the premium line Philipp Selva Home, designer Lorenzo Bellini has succeeded in combining Italian charm with French flair in a refined way. “Vendôme perfectly supplements Philipp Selva Home and is absolutely made for those who love classic lines in modern, contemporary design,” said Philipp Selva. The eye-catching feature of the collection is the interplay of clear, geometric shapes with softly curved lines and smooth, cubic elements with decorative metal appliqués. In addition to Vendôme, SELVA also displayed additional selected pieces of Philipp Selva Home from the collections Heritage, Solitaire, Tzsar, Platinum, and Downtown. As is typical for SELVA, these were masterfully combined with each other, and thus they presented the unmistakable Transitional stylistic mix of the Italian furniture maker
into which Vendôme was also harmoniously inserted.
The perfect setting for the furniture was formed by a finely coordinated architectural and decoration concept – visitors were led through faux French doors into the spacious, thematically organized rooms. They thus felt as if they were in a modern Parisian villa. High ceilings and walls that were kept in white corresponded with fabrics in a soft, cream-coloured tone that visually fit with the furniture and the accessories. Emphasis was provided by spots of colour in lemon yellow, purple, or radiant green. Vases, rugs, and transparent crystal lamps enhanced the stylish interior. A lasting impression was made in the center of the tradeshow stand by a majestic Vendôme
table from the new collection, extended to its full length.
