Stirring emotions and creating new enthusiasm for furnishing – at the past High Point Furniture Market, SELVA has once again proved its mastery.
The showroom was totally redesigned, from new flooring and new wall colours to the mounting of additional panels for a new, unexpected layout. Most of these changes, together with the relaunch of the decoration concept, were instigated by Peggy Norris, the interior designer commissioned by Philipp Selva – President & CEO of Selva – to give the showroom a stunning new look, most suited to the American market.
The presentation was focused primarily upon models of the Philipp Selva Home line, including the latest Collection Vendôme. In High Point, the emphasis was also on the expanded fabric collection, which stylishly showed the upholstered furniture on display to its best advantage.
Created from the pen of designer Lorenzo Bellini, Collection Vendôme was alluring through its naturally elegant, contemporary design. In addition to Vendôme, SELVA presented some selected pieces from the new Selva Timeless Beauty Collection Marilyn which brings back to life the soft sensual lines of the Fifties.
Going beyond its timelessly valid design, the furniture from SELVA also proves itself through contemporary technology that is continuously subjected to further development.
In 2012, for instance, the leaf expansion mechanisms of the dining tables was perfected and a new, innovative fitting technology was designed for china cabinets and sideboards. They make possible simple operation and a great ease of use.
And the developments with the desks of the Philipp Selva Home line show how SELVA combines design and function with one another at the highest level.
