You can try to take them to a recycling center to see if they accept whatever type of plastic it is. You can take them to a dump...our town has a local spring clean up drop off at certain times of the year. Will they fit in the trash?

Before throwing it away, consider how old your mattress is and in what type of conditions it is in? If it is in new conditions and working properly then you don't need to throw it, then just consider to denoting it.
And if the mattress is too old or beat up by times to denote to someone for your mattress then their is one thing you can do with your mattress. You can call the mattress company from you bought it and they will usually come and pic it up from you.
