Our Mission
Darvin Furniture is a family owned business dedicated to providing the finest selection of affordable, fashionable home furnishings at a value and customer service level unequaled in the marketplace. While always focusing on our customers, we wish to provide an environment for our associates that is fair, supportive and that provides an opportunity for them to achieve their own personal goals.
History
Louis Darvin began his business in 1920 by selling furniture door to door using catalog pictures. He became renowned as the furniture expert, offering high-quality furniture and low prices, and his customer base grew. His son David became his business partner, and they opened their first store in Chicago in the early 1940's. In the 1970's, David's sons Steve and Marty joined the family business. After David's passing in 2005, Steve and Marty have continued their father's and grandfather's tradition of selling quality furniture at low prices along with exceptional service to their valued customers.
Today
Today Darvin Furniture is not only Chicagoland's largest furniture store, but also one of the top 100 furniture retailers in the country. Located on 11 acres in Orland Park, Illinois, the showroom has 130,000 sq.ft. of furniture on display. You can find famous brands like Broyhill, Century, Lane, Flexsteel, La-Z-Boy Kids, Berkline, Bernhardt, Pennsylvania House, England, Lea, Better Homes & Gardens, Martha Stewart, and many more. Also located within the complex is a Thomasville Store, a 20,000 sq. ft. Clearance Center and the Darvin Mattress Store featuring famous brands like Sealy, Simmons, Serta, Sterns & Foster, and Tempurpedic. We serve Chicago, the surrounding suburbs, northern Illinois, and northern Indiana.

Darvin has a professional staff of over 300 associates who are attentive, knowledgeable and value their customer's business. There are 75 sales consultants who are experts in their field and always ready to assist you. Darvin also offers free design services when making a purchase. Our team of design specialists can help you plan or coordinate your furnishing needs in the store or home. Darvin Furniture has thousands of items in stock for immediate delivery or pick-up at its 218,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art distribution center located in Mokena, Illinois, only 15 minutes from the store. If we don’t stock what you're looking for, we can always special order that certain color fabric or that special finish.
