Log Art

Anthony H. Williams began designing and building furniture thirty years ago when, as a high school student, he bought his first chain saw and created a series of rustic tables and benches from driftwood he gathered from the beaches of Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan.
His next project involving picnic tables wasn't challenging enough, however, so Anthony began buying and remodeling houses in Boyne City, which in turn led to building full-scribe log homes. After completing several large log lodges, Anthony began building furniture that complemented the look and scale of the lodge interiors, including solid-slab tables that seated 12 and queen-sized bunk beds.
Robin Lee Berry, a noted singer/songwriter in Northern Michigan, was in the process of remodeling her own home when she met Anthony. Inspired by their mutual creative talents, they went into business together (and got married along the way!) and formed Log Art, Inc.
Beds, dining tables, small tables and accessories and a unique railing system for both indoor and outdoor stairs, decks, and walkways make up what they consider to be the "Lodge Look of Northern Michigan." Incorporating wood carvings into the pieces is the latest addition to Log Art, Inc.; they plan to include them in railing newels, bed sideboards, and the tops of bedposts as well as in hall trees and mirrors.
We welcome you to contact us if you are interested in placing a commission or purchasing one of our pieces. Because of the unique nature of our work each piece is quoted individually. All of our pieces are hand delivered and set up by us for your satisfaction. If you wish to learn more about our work or would like to see finished pieces feel free to contact us.
