Cassina USA

Around the world, the name Cassina is spontaneously associated with Italian design. Since 1927, Cassina has been a preeminent design leader and manufacturer of original contemporary furniture.
Cassina USA was established in 1994 to bring this contemporary furniture to the American market. Our modern classics include the Cassina I Maestri Collection by 20th century masters, as well as the contemporary designs of noted European designers. Many of these furniture designs are included in the collections of leading museums, and are found in the world’s best-furnished interiors.
The collection of lounge seating, chairs, tables, beds and storage systems may be viewed at our flagship showroom on 56th Street in New York City, and our Soho showroom on Wooster Street. Cassina is also available through our nationwide distribution network.
Over the past decade Cassina USA built its reputation on design, quality, and customer service. Our aggressive Cassina Quick program brings Cassina furniture, made in Italy, to the American public quickly. No other European manufacturer maintains such an inventory program in the United States.
Cassina Quick is supported by:
- A deep inventory of over (60) selected models from the Cassina collection.
- A 40,000 square foot warehouse in Huntington, New York
- A commitment to ship your Cassina Quick orders within 10 days.
- A U.S based administrative staff available for all of your requirements.
- Advertising and sales aids to support Cassina Quick
The unparalleled success of our I Maestri Collection is documented in “Only Cassina”, our awareness campaign to educate the consumer about the value of authentic, licensed designs. All of our I Maestri products are signed and numbered, and manufactured under exclusive worldwide licenses from the designers or their estates. No other company is authorized to produce these designs.
Cassina SpA, the parent company was founded in 1927 in the northern Italian region of Brianza. Operations were initially focused on woodworking and gradually expanded towards modern furnishing. During the mid-50’s Cassina engaged the talents of architects such as Gio Ponti, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Mario Bellini and Vico Magistretti for design collaboration.
In order to broaden the appeal of the Cassina Collection, Franco Cassina initiated a visionary collaboration between Le Corbusier and Cassina. Building upon the success of the Le Corbusier license, the company launched the I Maestri Collection (Masters Collection), which today includes major icons of design history: Le Corbusier, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Gerrit Rietveld, E. Gunnar Asplund, Charlotte Perriand, and Franco Albini.
Contemporary architects and designers continue the company’s commitment to the landmarks of modern furniture design.
The list of designers in our Contemporary Collection reads like a brief history of design… from the pioneering work of Gio Ponti to the conceptually flamboyant designs of Philippe Starck. From the sculptural shapes of Vico Magistretti, and humanistic industrial style of Mario Bellini, to the innovative forms of Toshiyuki Kita, and the artistic expression of Gaetano Pesce. Designers Francesco Binfaré, Andrea Branzi, Paolo Deganello, Piero Lissoni, Jorge Pensi, Hannes Wettstein, and newcomers Patrick Jouin and Jean Marie Massaud epitomize Cassina’s commitment to the Italian design ideals of craftsmanship and quality. It is a true fusion of industrial technology with artisan manufacturing.
Cassina USA, its Masters’ & Contemporary Collections and its Cassina Quick program continue to affirm Cassina’s place as the American resource for modern contemporary designs.
